December 2019!

December flew by with many guests, Christmas activities, pictures, memories, and travels. Hold on to your hats and enjoy your coffee as we fly through some pictures of our December. ;)
Dec. 1 - We had the Wilson family over for Sunday dinner
We enjoyed the afternoon with them!
Dec. 3rd-9th, my dad's cousin Katie Gafford flew from CO to spend some time with us. Her time here was packed full of fun and memories! One day friends from PA drove to KY to spend the day with Katie at the Creation Museum. After their activities, the kids got to play at our house for awhile. It was so good to see the Mosleys again!
Katie and Cheryl watching the kids play.
Saying goodbye to these dear little children!
Katie spent a day with us at GBS, seeing what our lives are like there at school.

Dec. 6 was the first evening of the GBS Christmas program - which was called Promise.
I'm so glad my friend Kimberly got to be a guest player again, in the SWSE part of the program!
The violin section, missing 2 players.
My friend Natalie got to come for the Friday night program! It was so sweet to see her, and she brought me beautiful flowers!
Natalie took this picture during the program.
Following the program that evening, I joined some other friends at the Arenders' home for a snack and visiting time. A bunch of sweet little girls.
Sweet ladies who brought the food for the party.
The young people going through the line.
Saturday, Dec. 7th, Daddy took Katie to the Ark Encounter to go through it.

That same day, Kimberly and I went to the Ark for the GBS Christmas program that was to be held there that afternoon. Getting music ready to go...
Ready for God's help in playing/singing/ministering to 2000+ people at the Ark Encounter.
Daddy and Katie came to the program, and Elizabeth and Mother came, helped pass out programs at the doors, then they got to sit and listen too.
The choir with the different screens behind them.
God answered so many prayers and helped us in many specific ways that afternoon and evening! Praise the Lord!
Kimberly and I enjoying the lights before we headed home.
A quick supper when we got home.
Sunday, Dec. 8, Katie went to church with us where she got to see Sis. Regina and others that she knew.
For Sunday dinner we had GBS students Lori, Audrey, and Danette with us as well as Katie.

I was not at home that day though; I was with SWSE and the choir as we went to a church near Columbus to do Christmas music for them.

After the Arch, we traveled further into MO until we got to my aunt Marlene's house for supper.
 A. Marlene fed us such a yummy meal!
We left Jeffrey and Lesa there then traveled on to Joplin to stay with my grandparents. We enjoyed spending time with them the next day.
Visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Scoles.
 Lunch at Grandpa and Grandma's....
Later that day we went to Tim and Brenda's home. Tim talking about their backyard. This was my first time to see them in this home.
Brenda was due with my new little niece a few days before that, and we were praying that she would be born before we had to leave MO so we could meet her!

We were sad that we couldn't see Randy and Joy and their kiddos this Christmas, but we hope to see them this spring before the kids get too much bigger! Joy has been sending lots of pictures to help our hearts as we miss them! In this picture the kids are wearing the sweaters that Mother sent them for Christmas.
I've been enjoying taking pictures of these winter berries in our side yard.

Good job making it through my looonnnnggg post about the last month of 2019!!
Now here we are in 2020! God has been so faithful and He will continue to be!
Trusting Jesus, Emily Albertson
