September has involved so much! We said more goodbyes, packed up the last few things, loaded our moving truck on the 9th and 10th, traveled to Kentucky, and moved into our new house on the 19th, and since then have been trying to settle in here and get used to everything.
September 2, I spent part of the day with my friend Sunshine. We went to a flower garden/island and enjoyed looking at all the different flowers and plants there. It was raining too, so that made our time there memorable. I love this picture of Sunshine, because it has so much purple in it and her favorite color is purple.

That evening we went to our friends' house for a yummy supper of tacos. We were so thankful for the time we got to spend with Wayne and Wanda Skeen that night.
They have been dear and precious friends for many years.

September 8, I met my dear friend, Natalie for our last coffee and talking time. We had a precious time together.

September 12, our truck was already packed and gone, and we barely had anything left in the house. We cleaned that day and had our lunch outside, for lack of a table inside.

Tuesday night we ate supper and spent the night at LaDeana and Steve Desmond's house, so that we and LaDeana could leave early the next morning. LaDeana and Mother are cousins, and it was so special to get to spend lots of time with LaDeana in the next 7 days as she helped us move.
Wednesday, September 14, Daddy and I, Mother and LaDeana set off on our trip to Kentucky. Daddy and I drove the truck and trailer, and Mother and LaDeana drove the van with the top carrier. We had a pleasant day of driving and good weather!
Late afternoon, we stopped in Columbia, Missouri to see some of Mother's siblings and see her brother's house that he's building.

That night we ate supper at LaDeana's parents' home and stayed the night there.
Thursday morning we left Missouri and headed east again. This was the view soon after we left!

Around 5:30 p.m. or so, we reached Kentucky!
We went to God's Bible School and College in Cincinnati, OH and had supper there with Elizabeth.
It is very green here in Kentucky; there are so so so many trees.
Friday, September 16, we got to go to our new house and look around again before going to the realty office and signing the contract on the house.

Saturday, September 17, we got to go with our friend Retha Elger, to the Ark Encounter in KY!
The Ark!! It was almost unbelievable to really be seeing it in person!

Monday evening, the 19th, we got to move into our house as much as we could. We spent our first night there.
We cleaned hard on Monday and got the carpets cleaned. A couple friends helped us a lot, but I wasn't able to get pictures while we cleaned.
Tuesday, September 20th, we had our first breakfast in our new house! It wasn't a fancy breakfast, but we were thankful for what we had.

Our moving truck arrived around 10:00 Tuesday morning, and we had lots of helpers come! We were again so blessed by people who were willing to help! I didn't get to take any pictures until lunch break.

We finished unloading by 2:20 p.m. and then everyone had popsicles!

Wednesday, LaDeana, Mother, and I put together an island for our kitchen, which we had ordered and brought with us from Colorado.
Wednesday evening, my brother and his new bride, Jeffrey and Lesa, arrived to spend the night with us on their way to a wedding. It was so good to see them again. Them coming the day after we moved in gave us a lot of incentive to getting things as set-up-as-possible before they arrived!

After our long walk, we went to Skyline Chili for lunch before Jeffrey and Lesa left.

September 23rd was Talent Night at God's Bible School and College.
Sunday, the 25th, Karen came for Sunday dinner!
September 26th was Dr. Larry Smith's release of his new book about God's Bible School's history. Karen played a part during the evening.

September 26th was also Elizabeth's birthday! After the book release at GBS, we went home and had dessert for her.

The last couple days of September and first few days of October, my brother Tim and his family came and stayed with us, because Brenda's sister got married on Oct. 1 in Cincinnati.
