September 2018

To start out our September, we had our friends, the Kauses, here for a couple days. We knew them well in Colorado, but they live in Tennessee now. It was good to see them again! Also our friend, Lori Owens, came from Iowa to visit. We took them to GBS to show them where we do college.

Daddy and Mother got to take them all to the Creation Museum while Elizabeth and I were at work.
Mother and Lori
A supper meal together!
Sunday afternoon quiet games after church and a yummy lunch.
A family picture of the Kauses before they had to leave. Their oldest boy didn't get to come along on the trip because of school.
On the 3rd, Elizabeth and I got to take our friend Lori to the Ark Encounter! It was a beautiful day for it.
In the garden before entering the Ark.
Lunch on the deck of Noah's wife's restaurant.
Someone was kind to offer to take a picture for us in this location.
On September 5th, I got to drive up to Cederville, OH to see my friend from Colorado, Natalie! She took me to this waterfall near her college.
It was so good to spend a few hours together, catching up!

Standing over the falls was exhilarating!
And so beautiful!
We had a lot of rainy days in September. I feel like I say that every month, though. :)
On the 7th and 8th, Daddy and Mother went on a little trip for their anniversary, to Paducha, KY.
They went to quilt shows, shops, and other neat places.
On the 9th our guests for Sunday dinner were Jonathan Sanjuan, Luke Hughes, Rebecca and Rachel Pohl, and Melanie Hilling.
On the 11th was Ladies Bible Study at the Strouds' home. We had such a good meeting and conversation that evening.
Sunday, the 16th, we had Danette and the Harms family over for dinner!
September 22, a couple in our church got married (but not in our actual church). Daddy and Mother got to go to the wedding of Grayson Lilly and Kaylen Frankenberry, but Elizabeth and I had to work.
They said it was a very precious wedding.
Sunday, the 23rd, our Sunday dinner guests were Zach and Rebekah Barkman, Jimmy Garcia, and Danette.
After lunch, Jimmy, Danette, and I went on a little walk. Danette kind of got off track because the woods looked so inviting.
September 25th, the evening before Elizabeth's birthday, we got to have the Stetlers over for supper. It was so special to get to spend the evening with them. They are dear, dear people who feel like family.
Saturday, the 29th, Jason and Karen came for supper on the deck after Elizabeth and I got home from work.
On the 30th, we had all GBS students for Sunday dinner: Lori Yoder, Abby Stewart, Cheyanna Underwood, Jake Stetler, Bethany Snyder, Rebecca Tomes, and Danette. It was good to get to know all the freshmen better.
That afternoon we went on a walk at Pride park. Danette and I went off trail again.
Between the rainy days, we have had some delightfully warm, fall weather.
See ya'll next month!
