Happy Fall ya'll! Come along as I share some photos from our month of October!
The beginning of the month, Pres. Loper preached a message in chapel about the dangers of gossip. Then he took everyone outside for his object lesson. Feathers, let go from the top of the building, were soon flying all over. Weeks later even, we were still finding feathers in random places all over campus. Gossip is like feathers, you can never take back what has been spilled. And the damage spreads farther than you can imagined.

Like I mentioned in last month's post, there has been a lot of construction work going on at our church. October has really made a difference in the things that got done! Here new carpet is getting put in.
One evening a bunch of church people came together to help put things back in order after the new carpet was in. These kids enjoyed the ride on the way down to the garage to get another load of stuff.
Then the guys brought the new pews up to the church and the kids loved riding them in the process.
At the end of the evening some of the youth went on a walk to Kroger together.
We got to host Joanna McKinney for supper and an evening.
Friday, Oct. 9th, I got to spend some sweet, special time with my friends Melanie and Jenny after school.
That evening there was such a beautiful sunset!

Mrs. Frederick's interest group gathered on Oct. 17th for carving pumpkins and roasting s'mores.
Oct. 18, we were blessed to have the Stetlers, Danette, and Rebecca over for Sunday dinner.
Oct. 20, Renee Muir put on a fun paint night for the DPS department. About 20 of us enjoyed trying to create masterpieces! =D

Oct. 24, our church had a small fall picnic in lieu of the Family Fest that they normally do.
It was a small gathering, but we were glad to still get to be together. Oh, how Covid has changed things!

October is Pastor Appreciate month, and how we do appreciate our wonderful pastors!
Oct. 25 the Edwards family came for a special song service in the evening. Bro. Edwards preached in the morning service too.
It was so good to see my friend Heidi again!
Oct. 26 and 27 was Missionary Convention at GBSC. The services were very good, and we heard from many missionaries in the morning sessions.
The internationals hosted their ethnic foods for everyone to try.
Oct. 28 was the Harvest Party off campus. It looked a little different from usual too because of Covid, but we still had a great time!

It didn't rain till the end of the party, which was such an answer to prayer!
The last few days of October looked different than expected as I came down sick and got tested positive for Covid-19.
I never thought this would happen, or that I'd lose my ability to taste and smell, or that I wouldn't be able to hug anyone for a long time, but that's the way this Oct. is ending. I have been sick, but I'm on the mend, and praying for my parents not to get it from me.God is still in Control, my friends! God will still be in Control the day after election too! God is bigger than our circumstances!!! I choose to trust God and keep my eyes on Him!
