July 2016

As usual, our July was full and busy! Here are LOTS of pictures from our happenings during the month.

On the 4th of July, my parents, Jason, and I went to the mountains!

On July 7th, I got my 4 wisdom-teeth removed. I had a few days of recovery following that.

While resting, I drew this sketch, while looking at one similar to it.

On the 9th, my friend Natalie came over and we spent some time at the Johnstown Lake. I was still taking it easy, but feeling lots better than the previous 2 days.

I'm so thankful for this sweet friend!

Then, that evening we had a house-showing during supper time, so took our food to a park in town. I, of course, only got to eat apple-sauce and pudding.

I was so happy to get this picture taken! It's a beautiful sight to this Colorado girl.

One morning, my friend Natalie told me that she'd be flying over soon, so I waited out on our deck. When she did, I took a picture and waved!! She said she saw me too. :)

On the 13th, my friend Ivanna came to Johnstown and we went to the lake. It was a beautiful morning!

We put our feet in the water and talked.

I'm so thankful to the Lord for this dear friend!!

Here's another picnic when we had to be gone over meal-time for a showing or two at our house.

On the 14th, Mother's cousin and daughter came over to help us make mints for my brother's wedding in August. We got a lot done!

Then later, Mother and I made a bunch of different kinds of mints. These ones are for the wedding reception that we will be having in Johnstown, a week after the wedding.

The 15th, I spent some time at my friend Sunshine's house. I got some scrapbooking done of graduation weekend, and we visited a lot.

On Sunday, the 17th, we went to Colorado Springs for Tent Meeting.
The Glick family were the singers this year.

Bro, Mark Sankey was the evangelist.

There was a carry-in dinner after the service.

I was thankful to get to see these two sweet ladies that I look up to, Sister French and Sister Gault.

That evening after we got back home, our friends the Browns invited us over for some family-game time. We saw this BEAUTIFUL sunset from their house.

 We have continued packing things in our house in hope of moving someday soon.

 One Saturday evening, we and Mary C. went on a walk around the lake.

 It was a really pretty evening!

Sunday afternoon, the 24th, the Johnstown Historical Society put on a small party for our family as a way for people around town to say goodbye.

Elizabeth, Jason, and I have been spending lots of time practicing music for our brother's wedding in just a week!

On the 27th, Elizabeth and I went with our friend Mary to Cheyenne, WY to see the Thunderbird Airshow!

The airshow was really neat! I was glad that we got to go.

In the afternoon we walked through Indian Village, where Mary taught us a lot about leather while she was finding just the right pieces for what she needed.

We also walked through the vendor area. It was all part of Cheyenne's Frontier Days.

The flowers on the left are from friends of Mother, who gave her their own farewell party to show their appreciation for her and all her homeschooling influences throughout the years.

On July 29th, we had 2 house showings -- one in the morning and one in the evening. For the evening one, we went to the lake to walk around. It was another beautiful evening!

The morning showing on the 29th proved to be what we were waiting for! Praise God, the people LOVED our house (something I've been praying for), and they didn't mind the highway noise (another answer to prayer), and they gave us an offer! After thinking and praying about it, my parents accepted the offer! On Saturday the 30th, our realtor came over and went through the paperwork with them.
Lord willing, we will be moving to Kentucky mid-September!

Saturday, the 30th, was also Jason and Elizabeth's last day of work at Ace Hardware, so Ace had a going-away party for them that evening. Here's Jason and Elizabeth with many of their co-workers, but some had already left. This going-away is different than other times they've left Ace for going to college, because this time we are moving away from Johnstown!
