Jason and Karen's Wedding 7-1-17

July 1st, 2017 was Jason and Karen's wedding day, so on June 30th,  the rehearsal was held at their church in Dayton. Randy and Joy arrived there from SD, Jeffrey and Lesa arrived there from IA, and Tim and Brenda came from KS. Our family was all happy to see each other again and get to spend time together in the midst of all the busyness.  This picture was taken in the back of the church before the rehearsal started.

After the rehearsal, there was a dinner in the basement.
This was the next day, the morning of the wedding, as we were getting all the kids ready for the event. Jewelyn just got her  hair done, and Mishael is chilling with Aunt Lesa.

This was at the church, an hour before the wedding . . . Aunt Elizabeth reading to Jewelyn and Mishael.

While everyone was getting dismissed, the families had to be waiting in the basement to come back up for pictures, so we snapped a few quick pictures of our family.

June 2017

Hello everyone! Here's some snapshots of our June 2017!
This summer, Elizabeth has started a BRIGHT Lights group for some of the girls in our church. At the end of the meetings, we end with tea time on the deck at our house.

Awhile back, our friend Marcia Alice asked me if I'd like to come photoshoot a wedding with her and learn how she does wedding photography. I jumped at the chance to do that, so on June 9 and 10, Mother and I went to Frankfort, IN for the wedding.
I'm just going to post a few of the "extra photos", not the real ones.
Here's Marcia Alice and her husband taking photos of the bride and groom.
We went to several locations to take photos before the wedding; one was a bridge that crossed this creek.
During the ceremony...
I enjoyed getting to spend the day with Marcia Alice.
Such gorgeous lilies!
We've seen some beautiful lilies during the month of June!!
I went on a bikeride one evening

And took some pictures of a neighbor's lilies
On June 16 and 17, my parents, Elizabeth, and I traveled to Missouri to get together with all our Scoles family for my uncle Scott's funeral. It was good to see my grandpa and grandma again, as well as my aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family prayer time before the viewing, on the evening before the funeral.
My cousin Amanda entertained my nephew Felix part of the time.
My dear Grandpa and Grandma Scoles.
A few of us waiting for things to wind down that evening.
Talking with my grandma.
This grandma got her boy Felix to sleep!
The next morning before heading off for the funeral, I snapped this picture of my sweet sister in front of our Aunt Carolyn's lilies.
Mother and her cousin LaDeana, who helped us move out to Kentucky.
Me, Elizabeth, LaDeana, and Amanda
The casket with the beautiful flower arrangement on top.
The funeral was a very God-honoring service. There was a lot of music, because that's what my uncle had wanted.
My nieces and nephews were thrilled to get to see each other too!

Daddy, my brother Tim, and oldest nephew Quil

Mother with her parents, siblings, and the spouses.
All of the Scoles family that could be there.

The burial service afterwards...
We were thankful it wasn't raining, but it was hot!
God gave us safe travels during that short trip to Missouri. We are so thankful we were able to go.
This is a picture of our assistant pastor's wife and kids, who were laughing about something in Sunday School. I just thought the pic was too cute not to share!
Sunday, June 11th, in the afternoon was a 50th wedding anniversary party for some dear people, whose kids go to our church. Marianne Brown asked me to help her get things ready at our church's fellowship hall, so I was privileged to get to do that with her and some other girls.
The Coffee station all ready
This table was at the entrance. I loved the mailbox for cards!
Marianne put together beautiful flowers for it!
A bunny rabbit in our backyard. We see the same one there every day.
Some beautiful clouds one night on our way to VBS at our church.
Our VBS crowd the first night.
Charlie and I were team leaders for the 7-8-year-olds, and one activity we did was blowing bubbles.
Then we played a game of tag.
The Harms girls and I after VBS one night
On one of my off days, I spent some time at the Harms' house and watched Annabelle, Emmalee, and Stevie, while Korin was gone with Stuart.
Then after lunch, we all had some more fun outside.
June 25th, we had a picnic that we called a CHICK-NIC, at Chick-fil-A. Only about 30 of the employees came, but we had a good time of getting to know each other better.
Eating time...
Phil and the Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Ft. Wright, Brent Linn, and his son.
Sunday afternoon, our cousins Herb and Jenny Albertson and their family arrived at our house, then went to church with us, then came back for supper and the night.
The next day they went to the Creation Museum, then we got to enjoy another meal and game time with them.
Enjoying being out on our deck for it!
Playing Interstate, a game that our friend, Mathew Hinkle made.
It was so good to see these cousins again, Abby, Celeste, Daniel, Ezekiel, and Zack!
It was a beautiful evening and a pretty sunset, even though we couldn't see it for the trees.
Also this month, our Chick-fil-A needed me to be a cow for them, so I had my first experience at being a cow, at a Cincinnati Reds game. I am the cow in the Hawaiian shirt. Sorry the picture isn't very good quality.
A quick picture I took during a break, of Elizabeth serving guests at the counter.
Me and "mi amiga", Maria! She is a blessing to me to work with. She does all our prep food in the kitchen.
We had a Daddy/Daughter Date Night at CFA, and my friend Kimberly came and played her violin for it.
