For this, I have Jesus!

It is simply amazing to me that no matter what happens in our lives, God has provided a promise for us in His Word, to help and encourage us in our need. Here are a few that really stand out to me! Think about the words.
If we trust God, and keep our minds on Him, He will give us peace through any trial:
He NEVER makes mistakes:
God is the only one that will never fail us:
We need to be thankful, not only for the beautiful, wonderful things God has blessed us with, but for the hard things in our life also, for they are what God can use to mold us in the way He wants.
Sometimes when everything in life just seems to overwhelm us, we just need to be still:
I do not need to fear when I have God as my Refuge. He is All I need:
He works on us, He molds us, into what He wants us to be... if we let Him, if we are surrendered to His will:

Have a blessed week, with Jesus by your side.
Love and prayers, Emily

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Tomorrow is my daddy's birthday! I gave him a drawing of his first and only granddaughter for it.
I love you, Daddy!

Caught in the act!

I take a lot of pictures as you probably know by now. Some days birds really seem to like our two bird feeders and come to them all day. Here is a picture of one "caught in the act" coming for it's meal.
Squirrels really seem to like our bird-feeder too, and don't mind being rude to the birds in the process of getting the seeds they want.  It's really neat to be able to take pictures of them, sometimes up close, but usually through the window, but, I also get frustrated at how selfish they are.
"Yes, did I hear someone call my name?"
One day during lunch we spotted this hawk eating a small bird. It was sad to watch. You might be able to notice blood down near his feet. He looks guilty!
I was amazed I got this shot. Our neighbors, a few houses away from us were getting their tree cut down over several days; this was the last day.

I posted a lot of my photography on a new tab, and would love it if you would look at it. God's nature creations are so beautiful. I am thankful I can capture them to enjoy, and add Bible verses to them. But let's not forget about how wonderful the Creator is, as we look at the Creation.

Family Foto!

With Jeffrey home for winter break, we finally got a family picture together. We enjoyed having Jeffrey home with us for a while.

A Review of 2012

I did a review of 2011 at the beginning of 2012, and thought it was a really neat idea, so I shall continue it. Here is our 2012, bits and pieces of it, anyway!

January -- Daddy turned 54!
February -- I had my last violin lesson with my teacher Amelia Ransom. I learned a lot from Amelia in 2 years of lessons from her. After that, Jason and I joined our umbrella-school's orchestra.
March -- Spring!
March -- I was privileged to get to be in our friends' wedding as a bridesmaid.
April -- After finishing chemo in September 2011, Mother's hair has been growing quickly.
May -- Beth and I got some pictures together.
May -- Daddy, Mother, and I traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio to get my older brother, Jeffrey from God's Bible School. We took him and his stuff to Joplin, MO for the summer.

May -- While we were in Missouri, Tim and Brenda dedicated their little girl, Charissa, to God.
June -- We had to cut down part of our tree in our front yard.
July -- The Bible Study group that Beth and I are in had a music and Bible verse sharing for the people at 2 nursing homes.
July -- Daddy remodeled our upstairs bathroom.
August -- Mother and I went to Joplin, MO for 3 weeks to help my oldest brother and his family when they had their newest little boy, Jonathan.
August -- After spending that time in Missouri, I got one of my dreams fulfilled. Flying (to go back home)!! It was so wonderful!
September -- The family still at home went on a little trip to Royal Gorge. Beth, Jason, and I had never been there.

September -- after Royal Gorge, we went to our friends' cabin for a couple days. We spent time playing horseshoes, hiking, playing games, and just spending time together.
October -- my oldest brother and his family came to see us.
November -- Our orchestra group had its concert. We were nervous, but God helped us to do well.
November -- For Thanksgiving, all the family except Jeffrey came home for the week.
December -- We went to Missouri to spend Christmas with all of Mother's family.
December -- This picture was taken the last Sunday of 2012. For 4 years, our family has gone to Denver to help with a children's ministry every Sunday evening.  Lots of children have come and gone. We love each of them. Our time there has come to an end, as of last Sunday. It was hard to say goodbye for us, and the children. It has been a huge part of my life. It has taught us so much.
Another thing that has happened this year:
December 2012, my sister moved out to live on her own and do a nannying job for a couple days a week. It has changed my life a lot because it now it feels like, I am "the only child".
Life changes all the time. And that is really hard sometimes. But I know God has a plan, and it is a Perfect plan, so we are trusting Him. He never makes mistakes, even if we don't understand the whys? and reasons.

So now it is January 1st, 2013. Seems really strange.  We don't know when the Lord is coming back, but He promised He would in His Word, so we must be ready at all times.
Consecrated to Him,
Emily Grace
