Pictures of today...

We got a delightful long rain yesterday and today, and I love how the pine trees in our backyard shimmer and sparkle with raindrops afterwards. This is just one of God's many blessings to us throughout the day.
Another blessing is flowers. Mother and Daddy got them last night.
One of the top greatest blessings God ever gave to us is the Bible, and I'm cherishing it as I study it every day.
"In everything give thanks." -- Ephesians 5:20

Happy Birthday!!

Happy 19th Birthday, Elizabeth! I love you!!
You are a blessing to every single person who knows you, and we love you! It's scary for me to think how our oldest siblings were already getting ready to get married when they were your age, Beth. I'll miss you whenever it does come time for you to jump out of our boat, and go to your own. I'll cherish you being with us, until then. Happy Birthday, you're the best sister I've ever had!! :)

Some of the aspens were starting to turn, and every once in a while we would come upon a clump of them that are already yellow. <3

This picture is a comparison between last year and this year, the picture taken the same spot. Notice Mother's hair difference.
 And this one also.
We love spending time at our friends' cabin, and we are so thankful to them that they let us go there every year (for three years now).

Day #1 -- Royal Gorge

We enjoyed the afternoon at Royal Gorge very much on Friday, the 14th, and these are just a few of the pics we took. =)

F-A-L-L

Fall has surely come upon us, bringing with it cold breezes, rainy days, crisp brown and orange leaves, foggy mornings, and beautiful pictures.
I love it some days, and at other times, I just want to put on three or four sweaters and drink hot chocolate all day.  The promise of winter is coming, and also the anticipation of Thanksgiving, and then Christmas.
But before that, there are other things to do. Such as: school, making Christmas gifts for family and friends, raking leaves, and also ....
Our trip this weekend! to a cabin in the mountains.
Some friends of ours let us use it sometimes in the fall. It is delightful! My brother and I hike and scramble around the woods on Friday and Saturday, and our family plays games in the cabin, and so much more that is just relaxing and fun. The most wonderful thing is: we are going to Royal Gorge before we go to the cabin!!! I have never been there, and therefore, I am very excited!! I am sure I will take lots of pictures and share them on my blog afterwards!
In other news: I am enjoying school very much!(for the most part). Algebra is a lot of fun. It is hard for me to get my mind back into the school-mode, but it is working. Writing&Grammer (English) I have always enjoyed. Literature is captivating, and I'm often ahead of my schedule in that.  I have other subjects as well, that I don't enjoy as much.
My brother and I have joined an ensemble in C.H.E.S.S. this semester. There are 8 violins, 2 cellos, a saxophone, and flute. It is a lot of fun for me, and I think Jason too. We have a concert in November.
I love playing my violin. I remember when God answered one of my desires after praying for 2 years for a violin and lessons. The violin was given to me, and God provided small jobs for me to be able to pay for violin lessons.
My favorite Bible verse keeps coming to me in all I do, in whatever circumstance I face, or whatever test comes to me. "Thou, O Lord, wilt keep him in perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee." -Isaiah 26:3-4
Have a blessed weekend!

Here is the picture I drew of my brother, Jason, for his birthday. I just finally completed it this afternoon.
