Mother and I on the morning of my birthday. Two years ago, March 2011, we found out she had cancer. So thankful she is alive and well today, and on her way to being a 5-year-survivor! I am blessed to be able to call her "Mother" and to love her.

My daddy and mother got me a precious gift, a Bible, and a special one at that! It is a Rainbow color-coded Bible, with the color codes being Faith, Discipleship, Love, God, Sin, Prophesy, Salvation, Family, Commandments, and a few others. It's open to one of my favorite passages, Philippians.
We had our friends, the Browns, over for dinner and the afternoon. They are a really sweet family that we have gotten to know well over the past few years.
Our guests. Our friends. Our second family.
My sweet, sensible sister Beth on my birthday. I really miss her around here ever since she moved away and is nannying. I do get to spend Sunday nights with her though and we always have a special time of being together again.
I am learning much as I grow older, and am thankful for much, one of the biggest things being -- our Father. His grace to us is
Unending. His love is
Everlasting. His blood is always
Saving. Being a child of God is the greatest gift I could ever ask for, or receive. I
know that no matter what happens, He will never stop loving me.
But I am also thankful for the everyday things like my family loving me, what they teach me, what they say to me, and for the cards, words, and hugs from friends, showing they care about me.
Thank you, Jesus! You have blessed me so abundantly!
