The Gift from God of BRACES

My oldest brother had braces when he was in his mid-teens because he had terrible headaches all the time from his crooked teeth. After that was all done, he didn't have headaches any more.
My 3rd oldest brother had braces when he was in his later teens because his teeth were really crooked.
For the past year, since at least August 2012, I have had many, many headaches, mostly since then, they have been daily. We tried different medicines, a chiropractor, doctor, neurologist, and natural stuff too.

Back in July, the orthodontist who did my 3rd brother's braces had a free braces contest. A friend of ours nominated me, and amazingly, I won, by God's grace and with the help from a lot of friends and family who voted for me! I was so surprised and thankful to God!!!
So September 5th, 2013 was the date set to get them on. I was nervous and excited.
The week before that, I ate a lot of candy-corn, gum, and other things like that. =D
I also want to add, that for years, I have wanted and prayed for braces!!!

~This is what I looked like before we left home to get the braces on. -September 5, 2013
Nicole placing the brackets on my teeth.  Everything they put in my mouth made me feel like I was going to gag. I was praying full time that God would help me not to gag. And He did help me!!
This is right after they got the braces in place, and at this moment, it felt SO weird and I was wondering if I seriously wanted to do this. But there was no going back now!
Nicole and I after the deed was done.
After we got home.
This picture was taken almost a week after I got them on, and I was a lot more comfortable with them then.
For the first 3-4 days, my teeth all screamed at me in pain very badly, which everyone says is normal, but since then my brain has quit alerting me to the pain, and I can now eat harder things than pudding and applesause.
I am really thankful for this gift from God, and the Richter Orthodontics, and I know it will be worth the pain in the end. So, there is another thing I get to mark off my bucket list (which is a page at the top that you can go to)!

Happy Birthday, Beth!

Today was my sister's birthday, and I just want to say that she is sooo special to me, and I'm really glad God gave her to me for a sister!   I love her muchly!
Her favorite flowers are mums!

God is worthy to be praised!!

This is a favorite song of mine that I thought might be an encouragement to someone, so here it is!

I will say of the Lord, "He is my Refuge, my Fortress, and my God". I will say of the Lord, "He is my Shelter, my Rock, and the Lifter of my head".

For He delivers me from my enemy, from the foe who seeks to work me woe. Yes, He remembers me, He knows my strength is small. He upholds me with His powerful right hand.

I will say of the Lord, "He is my Hiding Place, a Stronghold in desperate times". I will say of the Lord, "He is my Strong Defense, of whom shall I ever fear or dread?"

For He delivers me from my enemy, from the foe who seeks to work me woe. Yes, He remembers me, He knows my strength is small. He upholds me with His powerful right hand.

I will say of the Lord, "He is my Savior, the cords of sin He broke". I will say of the Lord, "He is my Keeper, He's promised to complete what He began.

The afflicted ones You will deliver, You're a Shield to all who trust in You. Your way is perfect, Lord, Your Word is tried and true. You alone, O Lord, are worthy to be praised!
You alone, O Lord, are worthy to be praised!!

Hot-Air-Balloons!!

I am going to just post a bunch of pictures from the hot-air-balloon festival yesterday, and not write too much.
I was so thrilled to get to go there with my dad for I love hot-air-balloons, and I had a great time taking pictures of them! So here they are, kind of in order.
~Beautiful with the morning sunlight shining through the colorful balloons!~
