August 4th, my family and I headed toward Iowa for my brother, Jeffrey's wedding 2 days later to Lesa McKay!

When we got to Omega church in Iowa that evening, we waited for a little while for Jeffrey and Lesa to get there.
It was good to see Jeffrey and Lesa and her family again!
Our family, and my brothers and their families all stayed at the same hotel, so we got to spend time together. We had a happy reunion with my niece and nephews, who we used to get to see so often!

Rehearsal day evening, everyone went to the lodge, where supper was at. There was a beautiful lake there. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand.

The Wedding Day - August 6th, 2016!

After everyone went to Omega for the reception, I took some pictures of Jeffrey and Lesa in the woods. It was a beautiful day! We are thankful for how the pictures turned out.

I think this was during prayer time for the food. They did a pot-luck reception, so everyone brought food and got to enjoy everyone else's!

Elizabeth drove our van to their house also, so that I wouldn't be stuck there. We took a few more pictures before leaving. It was a beautiful evening with the sun lighting up the cornfield next to their house.

Sunday morning was a relaxed time together because of the late night, the night before. We had encouraging conversation over breakfast.

Mid-morning we went to a pretty, green, state park and had a little church service by ourselves.

For dinner on Sunday we went to the lodge with other people. I found this butterfly enjoying the cone flowers.

The Johnstown, CO reception for Jeffrey and Lesa was at a building across the street from where we live, on August 13th. We decorated with things from the wedding.

We were blessed by 55 people who came. We were very thankful that my dad's uncle Alvin, and cousin Katie got to come from Colorado Springs. I always love seeing them!

Two couples - one couple married 1 week, the other couple married almost 33 years!
We ended our Saturday with Jeffrey and Lesa, with a picnic on our deck. Then J+L left for the rest of their honeymoon.
We are so thankful for God bringing Jeffrey and Lesa together, and we are very blessed to add Lesa to our family!!
