July 2015

Sorry this July post is late. We went on a trip for the first two weeks of August, so it hasn't gotten done till now.

On July 2nd, my friend from Wyoming, Ivanna, got to come visit me for a few hours before we went to the airport to pick up someone. We spent most of the time together at our Johnstown Lake; it was a very special morning.

A little bunny rabbit that we saw along the trail.
On July 3rd, my parents and I went to our friends, the Heppners' home, for a yummy supper, visiting, and a fun game of croquet.

An evening walk with my parents and sister.
July 10th-12th, my brother Tim, my sister-n-love Brenda, and daughter Charissa came to Colorado for a little visit for Tim+Brenda's 7th anniversary. We loved the time we got to spend with them. It was such a special weekend.
Charissa loved our "jumpoline" (also known as a trampoline). :)
She also enjoyed our puppet Akili that we got for VBS.
Memories were made coloring with my precious niece...
Singing with Aunt Elizabeth...
and going on a trip to the mountains on Saturday.
It was kept a surprise from my oldest brother and his family that Tim, Brenda, and Charissa were coming, so when we got to the picnic spot first, T, B, + C, Elizabeth, and I went into the woods to hide until the right time to surprise them.
A fun picture of my brother Tim.

Then Randy, Joy, and the kids got there, and then Tim, Brenda, and Charissa came out of the woods, and Randy and Joy's family were so surprised!! It was so fun!

It took awhile for everyone, especially my nephews Quil and Micah, to get over the shock of Tim, Brenda, and Charissa being there.

After our picnic, Elizabeth, Joanna, and I played 'Duck, duck, goose' with our nephews and nieces.
We left the picnic spot and drove up the mountain, then hiked a little.

Then we drove up to Trail Ridge.

Charissa was just a little worried about the chipmonks getting too close.
On Sunday we went to church, then everyone came back to our house for Sunday dinner and spending the day together. It was such a special time spent with my family, all our Albertson family except for my brothers Jeffrey and Jason.
On Sunday evening, some of the family went on a walk together.
July 18th, we went to Colorado Springs for the weekend for Tent Meeting. Mike Avery, who is the president of GBSC (college where my siblings attend), was the preacher for Tent Meeting. God blessed the time there; we are so glad that we got to go.
Our dear friends, Derold and Kim Hunt, were the singers for Tent Meeting. It was so good to see them again, and their music was so good.
Sunday dinner at the parsonage; eating and visiting with our friends, Mike and Carmen Durkee.
Sunday afternoon, we went to my dad's uncle's and cousin's house and visited with them. We love seeing Uncle Alvin and Katie and getting to be with them every once in a while.
July 20th-24th, we did Vacation Bible School at Federal Heights.  It had a African Safari theme, and was about learning about wisdom.
Rosie Lucas and I got the kids signed in and kept track of their points.
Joanna did the younger kids' games during the outside time.
Mother did an object lesson for the older kids one night.
There was snack time and some 'tag' too.
Joy leading the singing.
Carrie, Joanna, Krystal, Rosie, and Julie helping with the snacks.
Some of the kids enjoying the snacks.

VBS went very well and we are thankful to the Lord for His help to us through it all!
